Weekend Update

Happy Monday everyone!!!  I am still happy from such a wonderful busy weekend.  I unofficially started my weekend on Thursday with a double date (finally) with Danielle and Jason and Allen (of course :)) We went to this new restaurant called Back Porch.  It was so beautiful inside and the food was amazing! http://backporchspartanburg.com/ If you are in the neighborhood check it out.  Allen and I liked it so much we went back Friday night with my brother and his new girlfriend.  We officially decided that when we get married we want to get married there it is just perfect for us.

Saturday Allen and I didn't do much we slept in and I made brunch.  Then we went shopping for a new rug but no luck.  We then went to the grocery store and I decided to rent a rug doctor to clean our carpets Sunday when Allen was at work.  We actually debating going back to Back Porch Saturday night but since we don't want to be those crazy people and we spent almost $200 there the past few days we opted out.  I instead tried my hand at a creole pasta.  I used whole wheat noodles, made a light version of a creamy sauce and we had chicken and shrimp in it.  Along with a BLT Cesar salad it was amazing!  Lots of spices!!!!  We ended the night watching out favorite show Duck Dynasty it was a perfect evening. 

Sunday was an early one.  When Allen  works when I am off I tend to wake up when he does and get started on my day.  He left at 6:30 and I was up and cleaning.  I started cleaning my carpets which I thought were fairly clean but that rug doctor got out so much dirt and grim I am thinking I might rent one every other month to just go over everything.  I started our dinner for the evening.  I actually made yummy crock pot chicken with just low sodium chicken stock, carrot and mushrooms.  The chicken turned out amazing.  I also made some roasted veggies and potatoes to round out the meal.  We didn't eat until about 8:30 that night but it was yummy. 

After finishing the chicken in the crockpot and my carpets I was killing time letting my carpets dry at Walmart so I got some paint to spruce up my guest bathroom and the paint had GLITTLER in it!  And I am so happy with my results.

The only causality was my nails.  Going today after work to get them fixed as you can sell there is still blue glitter paint on them. 

 Such a great weekend sad I had to come back to work today but off to the beach this weekend YAY!

Wino Wednesday

Can I tell you I am so excited to be back :) There has been so much going on the past few weeks and I am going to do a recap blog tomorrow but I am very happy it is Wednesday and even happier that one of the bosses isn't in the office today :) Happy day. Right after work today I am meeting my best friend to try a new wine bar. My brother and I stumbled on it about 2 years ago when we were walking to our favorite sushi place downtown. The wait was like 45 minutes so we went into the wine bar and it was their grand opening. We actually got a drink each for free and a sampling of some of the appetizers. I haven't been back since but really looking forward to tonight. 

 I love the logo.  I feel like our little small town is really trying to revamp its image and I love it :)

Happy unexpected dinner

I am sitting here with two of my best friends! Danielle and my longest friend Megan, we are sorority sisters and sisters forever. I got a text from her last night at 3 in the morning saying she would be home and of course I will be up for dinner!!! Happy wine Wednesday to me!! I absolutely love my life and my friends especially these two ladies!

So Much To Do and Some Little Time

I have been an absolutely terrible blogger lately.  But in all fairness, it was the holidays and such.  So much has been going on...the main thing that has happened is my handsome army man came home!!!! He was home for the holidays which was all I wanted! We took our nephew Jackson to the beach for a few days and we all had a blast.  We would go out during the day and then about 4 or 5 come back to the condo and I would cook dinner and we would just chill out.  Jackson was so good and even went to bed around 8:30 every night so Allen and I got to enjoy listening to the ocean and drinking adult beverages :) I honestly don't know if I could be happier.  One of my New Year's resolutions is to blog more and take more pictures so I will be a better blogger : )

Wine Wednesday :)

Happy Wine Wednesday Everyone!!!! I have been a little MIA lately I know but with the holidays and my big Christmas surprise (hopefully) I have been so busy I couldn't even being to explain. Tonight our girls group is getting together at one of our favorite places to eat and drink and we are going to get to talk about Danielle's engagement :) and all the other fun stuff that is going on in our lives. I am so excited.

Random Tuesday Post :)

Hey follower bloggers...I haven't blogged in awhile. With my work being crazy and the holidays just around the corner I haven't had much time for much of anything. I hope to get back to it ASAP! I finally decorated for Christmas on Friday. I am happy things are up but I was noticing I have been doing less and less lately because I don't really have the space in my apartment and for those who have seen my place. It already kinda looks like Christmas year round with my colors, yellow, red and green. Nevertheless I put up my Carolina tree (black tree with Gamecock ornaments.) But I started thinking, I have to have a theme for any decorations I do. My future sister in law has tons of decorations that don't have a theme but they look good together. Am I weird because I am very picky when it comes to my Christmas decorations. I do not want any colored lights and everything has to be red, black, green or gold.

 You know those days that you wake up in a good mood and keep it all day long.  That has been me today.  I can't explain it.  I am hoping for a huge surprise this weekend so maybe that has something to do with it :) But I am just happy.  I wish I could bottle this up and keep it for my blah days.
